Nyingchi area is known as the Jiangnan of Tibet. As early as June 1997 in the last century, when the reporter came to Tibet for the first time to shoot the feature film "Chinese National Sports", he had been attracted to it for a long time. He wanted to go there, but because of the The road is being repaired, so it is a pity that the trip cannot be made. Ten years later, the reporter went to Tibet for the second time with the "Charming Qinghai-Tibet Tour" to collect scenery, and his long-cherished wish to go to Nyingchi finally came true.

In the early morning of July 31, 2007, on the second day after the reporter arrived in Lhasa, they did not tour in Lhasa. Instead, they first arranged to go to Nyingchi, known as the southern part of Tibet, for sightseeing. The reporter's team left Lhasa on a tourist bus and headed towards Nyingchi. At 9:40 in the morning, we first arrived at the birthplace of King Songtsen Gampo for a short rest.

Songtsan Gampo was born in his hometown, Qiongjie County, which is located on the south bank of the Yarlung Zangbo River. For thousands of years, the descendants of Songtsan Gampo have been continuously developing here, and their descendants are thriving. There is not only Songtsan Gampo's burial terrace tomb, but also the emperors of several dynasties after him are buried here, scattered on several hillsides in the southeast, northwest, and far away from each other. More than a dozen high platforms built with earth have been well preserved for more than a thousand years.

On the top of Songtsan Gampo's tomb, there is a shrine several feet long and wide for keeping the tomb and burning incense with granite blocks. Standing on the high tomb platform, looking up to the sky, the towering peaks in the blue sky are covered with snow, the eagle strikes the white clouds in the southern sky, shuttles up and down among the clouds, and the wild pigeons fly among the mountains, playing in several large tombs.

Looking down at the tomb platform, it looks like standing in the palace in the middle of the moon, or standing in the Hall of Supreme Harmony in the Forbidden City. Looking to the west, the smoke from the mountain village and the sunset glow together, the smog fills the air, the eagle hits the sky, the pigeons whirl among the mountains, and the stream swirls. Viewed from afar in the mountains to the north, the ancient tombs are dotted with each other in the distance, which is really like the Western Paradise mentioned in the Tathagata Buddhist scriptures.

The ground here is open, the climate is pleasant, the land is fertile, the mountains and rivers are beautiful, and the natural conditions are very good. Therefore, it was the birthplace of the ancient Tibetan people a long time ago. Since Lhasa was established as the capital, it has become the base of the Tubo Dynasty's prosperity and business, and has been highly valued.

The tour group continued to move forward and arrived at the Mira Pass at an altitude of 5013 meters near noon. After the reporter got off the car, a very uncomfortable feeling suddenly emerged, just like the feeling at the base camp of Mount Everest ten years ago. At that time, in the base camp, I needed to climb a 30-meter-high mani pile in order to take pictures of Mount Everest. It took more than 20 minutes. Every step I climbed was very uncomfortable, like nausea and dizziness. , unspeakable pain. At this time, in order not to repeat the same mistakes, I had to reluctantly take a few pictures and then return to the car to rest.

After the car went down the mountain, the uncomfortable feeling gradually disappeared. It is strange that this kind of physical discomfort never occurred again during the days in Tibet. Shortly after descending from the Mira Pass, the meandering Niyang River is always on the left and right sides of the road, and the scenery is extremely beautiful.

The Niyang River is the largest tributary located on the north side of the Yarlung Zangbo River and one of the five major tributaries in the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin. It originates from Cuomuliangla on the west side of Mila Mountain, flows from west to east, and joins the Yarlung Zangbo River near Zemen in Nyingchi County. It has a total length of 307.5 kilometers, a drop of 2,273 meters, and an average slope of 7.39. Its source is the surrounding valley of ancient glaciers, with an altitude of about 5000 meters. The Niyang River is said to be the sad tears flowing from the holy mountain. The forest vegetation on both sides of the river is intact, the river is clear and less sandy, and it is the "mother river" of the people of Gongbu Jiangda.

At around two o'clock in the afternoon, the tour group arrived at the mainstay landscape on the Niyang River for rest again. In fact, the so-called mainstay landscape is a boulder standing in the rolling Niyang River. Don't underestimate this boulder. It stands on the clear and slow-flowing Niyang River like a mighty general, adding a quiet and beautiful landscape to the flowing Niyang River. Not far from this place, there is also a viewing pavilion built by the river, where visitors can sit in the pavilion and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Niyang River.

At 4:40 in the afternoon, the tour group arrived at the famous Basongcuo National Forest Park in Tibet. Basongcuo Lake, also known as Cogao Lake, means "green water" in Tibetan. It is located in the deep valley of the high valley in the upper reaches of the Ba River, more than 50 kilometers away from Gongbu Jiangda County, Nyingchi Prefecture. More than 1,000 acres, the deepest point is more than 66 meters. With a total area of 25.9 square kilometers, it is a famous sacred lake and holy place of the Red Sect (Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism).

The shape of Basong Co Lake is like a crescent moon inlaid in the high gorge and deep valley. The lake is crystal clear, and the surrounding snow-capped mountains are reflected in it. Birds such as yellow ducks, sand gulls, and white cranes float quietly on the water surface, while fish swim back and forth in the lake, making it even more peaceful.

About 100 meters away from the shore there is a small island named Tashi Island. It is said that the island is a "hollow island", that is, the island is not connected to the bottom of the lake but floats on the lake. Although this is just a legend, it makes people feel very magical. On the island, there is a small and exquisite temple with an area of less than 200 square meters named "Cuozong Gongba Temple". It was built in the Zanpu period of Tubo. It is a Nyingmapa temple with a history of more than 1,500 years. Padmasambhava is the main offering in the temple. At the foot of a statue of Vajra Yamantaka, there are two natural cobblestones with a recessed round nest, which is said to be the hoofprints left by the war horses of King Gesar when he fought here.

Although Basong Co is hidden deep in a ravine far away from towns and traffic jams, it is widely known to the outside world for its lush forests and the pool of clear water amidst towering mountains. It is a magical, beautiful and picturesque place. The unique natural resources make it one of the earliest known scenic spots in Nyingchi.

In the evening, the reporter and his party passed through Bayi Town, Nyingchi, and visited the world-famous ancient cypress garden more than ten kilometers southeast. The ancient cypress garden in Nyingchi County is a holy place in the eyes of the local Tibetans. It is said that the tree of life of Xinrao Mibao, the founder of the Bon religion, is the ancient cypress. Therefore, the largest and oldest trees in the forest are always wrapped with wind horses. There are also mani piles everywhere, and believers often come to worship from afar.

In the center of the ancient Berlin, there is a giant cypress that cannot be surrounded by more than a dozen people. It is more than 50 meters high, nearly 6 meters in diameter, and the projected area of the tree crown is more than one mu. It is estimated that this giant cypress is 2,000 to 2,500 years old and is protected by the local people as a "sacred tree". There is a giant cypress protection site in Bijie Township, Nyingchi Prefecture, which is also one of the two ancient cypress protection sites in Tibet.

It was already dark when we returned from Linzhi World Ancient Cypress Garden. The tour group returned to Bayi Town in the twilight and stayed here that night. Data records: In fact, Bayi Town of Nyingchi used to be just a town in Nyingchi County, not much different from most other towns in Tibet. Coupled with the complete opening of the Lhasa-Nyingchi high-grade highway, especially the strong counterpart support from the provincial and municipal governments along the coast of the inland in recent years, Nyingchi Bayi Town has actually become the actual location of the Nyingchi District Administrative Office and Nyingchi County. It has developed into a modern city in Tibet, with complete functions, prosperous business, complete integration of foreign population and local people, developed transportation, and increasingly developed tourism industry.

However, it is precisely because of the increase in the number of immigrants that Nyingchi Bayi Town is gradually losing its own characteristics. Today, Nyingchi Bayi Town looks more like a county town in Sichuan than in Tibet, just like other places in Tibet. same as the city.

Nyingchi is the settlement of ethnic minorities such as Monba and Lhoba. Nyingchi means "the throne of the Niang family or the throne of the sun" in Tibetan. It is located in the southeast of the Tibet Autonomous Region, on the middle and lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River, connected to Qamdo and Nagqu in the east and north, Lhasa and Shannan in the west and southwest, and India and Myanmar in the south.

Nyingchi has a total area of 117,000 square kilometers and a total population of about 200,000. The average altitude of Nyingchi is 3,100 meters. It has outstanding people, beautiful mountains and rivers, and a pleasant climate. There are flowers in three seasons and evergreen in four seasons. It is known as "Tibet Jiangnan" and "Oriental Switzerland". , "Plateau Ecological Oasis", "Shambhala on Earth" and other reputations.

Nyingchi area can be visited all year round. In spring, you can see the peach blossoms all over the mountains, and the spring is full of spring; Its unique natural landscape and cultural landscape have become a tourist attraction yearned for by domestic and foreign tourists.

From Lhasa to Linzhi, the team ran for a whole day, and the tourists had a very comfortable and peaceful sleep in Bayi Town of Linzhi that night. The next day coincided with the August 1st Army Day, and coincidentally, the reporter’s team happened to be in Bayi Town, Nyingchi, Tibet. The Bayi Town celebrated the "August 1st", which is really meaningful...

Bayi Town is a new town in the southeast of Tibet and the political, economic and cultural center of Nyingchi. Sichuan-Tibet Highway and Linze Highway intersect here. The town covers an area of 8 square kilometers and has a population of 16,000. The medical conditions are good, the communication is convenient, and the service facilities are complete. There are more than 90 large and small factories and institutions in the town. Such as the famous Nyingchi Wool Mill, Tibet Match Factory, Tibet Agriculture and Animal Husbandry College and so on.

Nyingchi, Tibet has always been a place that journalists have longed for. When I came to Tibet for the first time ten years ago, I had no chance to go there because I was in time for road construction. However, this trip to Nyingchi finally came true and fulfilled a wish. Although the round trip from Lhasa to Nyingchi is hundreds of kilometers long, and after arriving in Nyingchi, we actually only visited one ancient cypress scenic spot, but there are countless beautiful scenery along the way. In particular, the lush vegetation leading to Nyingchi is rare in other parts of Tibet. If you have the opportunity to come to Nyingchi again in the future, you will definitely continue to go to Nyingchi, which is called "the last secret place of human beings". Take a look at the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon... (Photo: Feng Ganyong)
