I heard yesterday that it was snowing on the mountain (Sejila Mountain, National Highway 318 is the only way back to Lhasa), the traffic congestion and traffic control caused a big traffic jam.

After getting up in the morning, I hurried to the front desk to inquire about the situation. The bad news I got was that there was a serious traffic jam on the mountain last night. Some guests staying in the same homestay came from Linzhi yesterday afternoon and arrived at 5 in the morning, and others arrived at 7 in the morning. The good news is that there is no snow on the mountain now, and the weather is gradually improving. The snow on the road will gradually melt in the afternoon. By this time, it will be relatively safe to pass, but the car must be equipped with snow chains.

After learning about these situations, make preparations quickly, one is to go to the gas station to fill up the car; the other is to buy snow chains for spare. Unexpectedly, the snow chains in the small shop had been swept away early in the morning. Fortunately, with the help of enthusiastic people, I finally bought a pair of snow chains.

While waiting for the snow chains to be delivered, I walked around the nearby Lulang Alpine Ranch and Tashigang Village and took a few photos. As soon as I got the snow chains, I set off from Lulang immediately, thinking about arriving in Lhasa before 4 pm, and then went to the Potala Palace Square to take pictures. But things backfired. The accidental traffic jam not only canceled today's itinerary plan, but also drove several hours at night to return to Lhasa. We came to the mountain before 11 in the morning. At this time, there was a long queue of vehicles on the mountain, which moved occasionally, but soon stopped moving. In this way, in the next 6 hours, I walked 20 kilometers intermittently. Fortunately, it is not far from the pass of Sejila Mountain, and we left the traffic jam.

It was already 5 o'clock in the afternoon when we came down the mountain. That is to say, at the pass of Sejila Mountain at an altitude of more than 4,700 meters, we stayed there for nearly 6 hours because of the traffic jam.
