In the past few years, I have come and gone to Ningbo countless times, but I have never tasted her existence properly.
Even my father, who is about to travel all over China, has never fully appreciated Ningbo once.

This summer, we made an appointment to go back to Ningbo again to feel the taste of Ningbo.

Ningbo, a famous city with a long history in Zhejiang,
She is backed by mountains and facing the sea, with beautiful scenery and diverse cultures.

The once important geographical location here is the origin of marine culture and a model of Jiangnan flavor.

In Ningbo, you can find countless kinds of authentic taste, or long, or elegant, or fresh, or pious,

This time in Ningbo, let's drive by ourselves~

Authentic Ningbo flavor

The ultra-modern design style museum carries Ningbo's thousands of years of civilization from the inside to the outside.

The wind is light and the clouds are calm, Suiyuexikou, city gates, old streets, and former residences, all of which are indispensable.

Shanghai-style culture, the new taste of the old Bund, and the memory of history stand forever in Sanjiangkou.

The breeze is blowing, the willows are swaying, and with a pious heart, take a walk by the Dongqian Lake.

Built along the river, walking across the street, looking for Ningbo in Nantang Old Street.

Flying down three thousand feet, maybe it is the spirit of Qianzhangyan Waterfall in Xuedou Mountain.

The clear moon lake water gathers the elegant demeanor of Ningbo's ancient buildings and tells stories one by one.

Coexistence of modernity and history - Ningbo Museum

To understand a city, the best way is to start from the museum. I don’t know when, I also started to hang around the museums of each city to understand the background of a city.
Therefore, the first stop in Ningbo was chosen at the Ningbo Museum. Don't underestimate the museums in this city, this museum is now a very popular online celebrity check-in place in Ningbo.

The Ningbo Museum itself is a modern art work. The famous architect Wang Shu used Qin bricks, Han tiles and Tang, Song, Ming and Qing tiles collected from the renovation of the old city as the exterior wall decoration to create this museum with an irregular shape and a sense of post-modern art.
The Ningbo Museum is now a free exhibition hall. You can make an appointment on the official account in advance, and you can enter after checking your body temperature. The entrance is located in the center of the two irregular buildings, and enters the venue through the water pool.

The venue has three floors in total, but the most classic part starts from the second floor of the exhibition hall. The two exhibition halls on the first floor are basically special exhibitions. Linking the three floors is the irregular trapezoidal grand staircase, which is full of momentum and is also the favorite part for children to play.

In fact, the overall area of the entire museum is not very large, but the setting of such a staircase is full of space.

In order to better understand the entire history of Ningbo, we start from the pavilion on the second floor, and also from the earliest Hemudu culture in Ningbo. The Hemudu culture is a Neolithic culture in the area south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River Basin in China. It can be traced back to seven thousand years ago and has a long history. Today, in the Ningbo area, many ruins and products of that time have also been discovered, and they are all displayed in museums.

The scenes of people's lives at that time were restored, very vivid, as if this was what happened before them.

The exquisite pottery, the lifelike people and animals on it, and the surrounding buildings all reveal the rich and colorful life of people at that time. Produced in the Three Kingdoms period.

A building shaped like a kiln appeared in front of us. What is shown here is the kiln-making process in Ningbo. Of course, depending on the location, the kiln may be slightly different, but the general process is still the same. Let us experience it personally. Exquisite local craftsmanship is showcased!

The real scene display in the venue is also restoring the development in the history of Ningbo that we have not seen for a long time, such as those gates that have disappeared, and the appearance of the old city of Ningbo at that time.

Ningbo is close to the sea. Fishermen, navigation, and trade are all words closely related to Ningbo. Next, we must talk about the local development driven by Ningbo as an important port throughout the ages.

Buddhist culture was also an important religious culture in the development of Ningbo at that time. From the urban area of Ningbo to the Tiantong Temple in the suburbs to Mount Xuedou, there were Buddhist figures everywhere. Buddhist exhibits are displayed here, such as Buddha statues and stupas carved in metal, and more!

The Oriental Shenzhou exhibition hall is based on the regional cultural development of Ningbo and takes the Maritime Silk Road as the main line. ", "Southeast Metropolis", and "opening ports for business" and other seven contents, showing the 7,000-year civilization history of Ningbo to the citizens.

The history is vivid in the display of the real scene. The prosperity, war and development of Ningbo are all clearly depicted. During the visit, we seem to have watched a documentary about the story of Ningbo.

The former small fishing port has become a wharf for business, the business has become more and more prosperous, and various commercial streets have been formed. Today's Ningbo still retains some of its past appearance. In the later exploration of Ningbo city, you can see the appearance of those old memories.

"Allah" old Ningbo, as a fragment of history and a symbol of culture, is composed of "Ningbo time-honored brand", "Yongshang wedding custom 'Ten Miles of Red Makeup'", "Ningbo old wall gate", "Ningbo age festival customs", "Ningbo folk arts and crafts" ", "Ningbo opera and Ningbo dialect" and other six parts, showing the old and old Ningbo that "no city without peace".
This part is also the closest to our life. We can see many customs related to the culture that still exists in Ningbo. As the saying goes, most of the cultures in the south of the Yangtze River have commonalities, and Ningbo and Shanghai are also inextricably linked.

Ningbo's cultural customs are also mainly displayed through real scenes. Walking in the exhibition hall is like walking into the tunnel of time, as if watching the life and work of Ningbo people at that time.

Many of the exhibits are considered to be at the protection level, and now you may not be able to see them even in the most remote villages in Ningbo.

Opera culture is also an important form of entertainment in Ningbo. The museum briefly introduced the opera culture in Ningbo, as well as the real scene of the stage, but did not expand in detail. After all, if you want to talk in depth, it is a very long historical story!

Originally, the Ningbo Museum had the most classic outdoor grand staircase, but it was raining again and again, and there was no hope for the outdoors. I could only visit it in the exhibition hall. The bricks and tiles made me feel the deep charm of modern art.

Finally, we took a quick look at the special exhibition on the next floor. It was an exhibition about animals in the world. It coincided with the summer vacation and there were a lot of children. This venue was their favorite place. There were countless animal models of various types. theme.

The special exhibition changes with the passage of time. There have been wonderful exhibitions about Ningbo’s daily cultural products before. Interested friends suggest paying attention to the special exhibition notice on the official website in advance~

The Land of Shanghai Style Culture - The Old Bund

Old Bund, why should I add a Shanghai-style culture to him? In fact, my impression of the Old Bund before going there should be a place with a very old flavor of Ningbo, but when I actually arrived here, I felt the ever-changing Old Bund, full of the taste of the combination of Chinese and Western.

The Old Bund is an excellent place where the three rivers of Ningbo converge, and it is the gateway to the ancient city of Ningbo, so Ningbo in the Tang Dynasty was one of the four major ports in China. After the "Nanjing Treaty" was signed, Ningbo became one of the "five ports" ports, and it was officially opened in 1844. The Jiangbei Bank has developed into a residential area for overseas Chinese from Britain, France and the United States. It is one of the earliest "concessions" in China and has a longer history than the Bund in Shanghai.
The oldest remaining part of the Old Bund is the broken wall at the south entrance. The broken wall does not fall, and the green shade wraps the ruins, revealing the taste of history.

On one side of the broken wall is the most eye-catching Jiangbei Catholic Church at the junction of the three rivers. This is a place recommended by a Ningbo friend for me to visit. I didn’t know why until I got here. The Catholic Church stands at the mouth of the river, and it can be seen clearly from any river bank, just like a landmark. This Catholic church was built in 1872. It is a typical Gothic architectural style. It was once the tallest building in Ningbo, and it is also a typical representative of Catholicism introduced to Ningbo after the opening of the port.

After the car parked in the parking lot of the Catholic Church, we walked into the Ningbo Old Bund to feel the leftover Shanghai style culture.
It may be that the time came a little earlier, but the Bund has already become the exclusive place for young people, and bars with various sentiments are opened along the street. There are various artistic scenes arranged outside the store, attracting everyone to take pictures here.

At night, it will become a bar with constant music. During the day, let us young people take a chance to take a literary photo. The quiet streets let me feel the aura of the Old Bund better.

The Old Bund is not big, and you can walk to the riverside in all directions. This is the viewing corridor of the Yongjiang River. It is fresh after the rain just now. You might as well blow the river breeze by the riverside, watch the boats come and go, and feel the busy and prosperous life of the year. Dock style!

The buildings around the Old Bund have a strong European style, as if they came to Europe in an instant, and are now well preserved.

In the inner alley of the Old Bund, there is even a Shikumen. If it is not marked, you must have missed it. This Shikumen is slightly different from the one in Shanghai, but it also reflects the best display of the combination of Chinese and Western in the Old Bund of Ningbo at that time as a concession!

Misty and rainy Qiandi, quiet little Putuo

When it comes to famous lakes in Zhejiang, everyone’s first reaction must be West Lake, but the scenery of Dongqian Lake in Ningbo is no less than that of West Lake. The area of Dongqian Lake is three times that of West Lake, surrounded by green hills, and the scenery is beautiful. Mr. Guo Moruo praised it as "the scenery of West Lake, the spirit of Taihu Lake". It is such a lively scenery that has become a business card of Ningbo today.
Green mountains and green waters are the scenery we yearn for the most after being busy. Dongqian Lake is very large, and you can enjoy the most beautiful lake view anywhere by the lake and enjoy the leisure on weekends.

There are many famous scenic spots in Dongqian Lake, and many scenic spots are even built by the lake for a good environment. The scenery by each lake has a different flavor, and the Taogong Dike that divides Dongqian Lake into the north and south is also the core scenic spot of Dongqian Lake. When I came here for the first time, I fell in love with this quiet beauty. .

Now many scenic spots in Ningbo are free of tickets, and you can enter by showing the green code. Although it is the rainy season, the temperature is not very high, and the lake breeze is very cool. The hilltop on the opposite side is hazy, and the beautiful scenery of the south of the Yangtze River is misty and rainy, but that's it.

The Little Putuo Scenic Spot on Taogong Island is mainly a long embankment leading to the opposite bank. In addition to enjoying the lake view along the way, it is to go to the famous temple on the embankment to pray. We're going to check it out for the first time.

There is a cruise ship dock outside the scenic area, and there are slow boats and fast boats, so you can feel the charm of Dongqian Lake more deeply, but it is as quiet as me, and I still like to walk on the embankment to see the lake view.

The embankment is not particularly long, but it takes half an hour to walk. Later, after it started to rain, we chose to take a shuttle bus out of the scenic spot, but this walking distance is just right~

The most famous Avalokitesvara on the water in Little Putuo, the natural beauty of Dongqian Lake coupled with the blessing of Avalokitesvara, at this moment, even the impetuous heart calmed down.

The winding path is deep and the woods are dense. The temple of Little Putuo - Xiayu Temple, the gate of the temple is relatively low-key. I saw many tourists returning directly to the Guanyin on the water, and did not come in.

There are beautiful carvings on the outer walls, which should describe the history of the temple. Now it is covered with lush greenery, but it is full of mystery.

The most famous in the temple must be the Dongtian Grotto. This grotto was built in the Song Dynasty and has a long history. The cave leads to the depths and there are several places for worshiping Buddha.

Another reason for liking Little Putuo is the residential villages outside the scenic area. These are all aboriginal villages, which are born by the river and are quiet and comfortable. When there is no wind, the water surface is calm, reflecting everything on the water, which is my favorite feeling.

The dry goods in the sun and the simplicity of life are the best reasons for people to come to Dongqian Lake~

Xikou Town, a thousand-year-old town

Xikou Town, affiliated to Fenghua District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta and at the foot of Siming Mountain. It is not only a tourist-oriented town with beautiful mountains and rivers, but also the hometown of Chiang Kai-shek and Chiang Ching-kuo and his sons. It is an important historical and cultural town.
Today, there are still 22 well-preserved Jiang's ruins and historical sites of the Republic of China in the Jiang's Former Residence Scenic Area. The scenic spots that are open in the joint ticket include: Fenghao House, Wenchang Pavilion, Xiaoyangfang, Yutai Salt Shop, etc. Xikou is the place where Jiang and his son were born, enlightened, lived, married, and worshiped their ancestors. imprint. When you enter Xikou Town, you must pass through Wuling Gate, which is named after the ridge of Jianwu Mountain. The atmosphere of life in Wuling Gate in the past is still preserved.

In the Shanxi River, it is also very lively, with fishers playing in the water

The ancient houses in the ancient town have long been converted into shops, selling Xikou's special products

Jiang's Ancestral Hall is a traditional place for clan activities in Xikou, where ancestor worship, celebrations, weddings, funerals, etc. are all held. Here, the ancestors of the Jiang family since Jiang Shijie moved to Xikou at the end of the Yuan Dynasty are enshrined. The family history of more than 600 years is concentrated here.

There are also many precious collections displayed in the ancestral hall.

The latter is the old ancestral hall, and the stage is connected to the middle gate, where guests were entertained to watch the theater.

Fenghao House is the place where the Jiang family lived, worked and entertained in the past. It has a very large layout.

The wood carvings are very beautiful, but there are also a lot of tourists here

Yutai Salt Shop, the place where it used to do business, is of course part of the former residence of the Chiang family at the earliest, and the oldest house belongs to this place. Walking up the stairs, the whole building was a little shaken, and the wooden floor made a creaking sound.

Wenchang Pavilion, located between Wushan Mountains, has the advantage of geographical location and has become the most beautiful place in Xikou Town. The Shoukuixing is enshrined in the cabinet. This Wenchang Pavilion was also rebuilt later.

The cabinet displays some of Chiang Kai-shek’s living conditions, and the bed in the room is covered with mirrors.

The scenery from here is really beautiful, and you can have a panoramic view of the mountains and rivers of Xikou Ancient Town.

Small bungalow, three rooms and two floors, used to be the residence of Chiang Ching-kuo

The lamps, doors, and walls of the old bungalows, every inch of land is telling the history, and I want to walk through it gracefully

Above the Wuling Gate, one can watch the entire Xikou Town and the outside of the town. This should be the most important place in the entire Xikou. Standing on the city gate, it has a special flavor.

In the evening when it is almost night, when the lights of Xikou Ancient Town are turned on, the whole ancient town will have a different flavor. If you happen to come to eat, you must take a walk to feel it~

A famous Buddhist mountain, Mount Xuedou

Xuedou Mountain, northwest of Xikou Town, Fenghua District, is the highest peak of the branch of Siming Mountain, with an altitude of 800 meters. It has the reputation of "Penglai on the sea, rooftop on land".
The scenery here is pleasant, and it is also a place of geomantic omen. It is the ashram of Maitreya Buddha, one of the five famous Buddhist mountains in China. It is so much fun to take a walk in the valley in hot summer and get close to the water. When you drive to Xuedou Mountain by yourself, you have to park your car at the tourist distribution center. After all, the mountain road is relatively narrow, so safety comes first when you come out to play. Today's first stop is Sanyintan.

All the way down the canyon, the pond water or waterfall or calmness, all kinds of gestures, let us marvel at them. The hidden waterfall is shy between the cracks.

Shangyintan is peaceful and peaceful, just like in the painting, without a trace of waves. The mountains and rocks are even more majestic under the blue sky and white clouds.

Small stone steps, the pool of water rushes through the middle, a little more fun

The valley descends suddenly, and the foreground is open and clear at a glance. The fun in the mountains of Xuedou Mountain is so thrilling and safe.

The waterfall, the luster of the sun, gathered together. One waterfall after another, wonderful and endless.

Two hanging waterfalls appear in front of you, like mandarin ducks playing in the water, echoing each other.

Sanyintan is most famous for its various waterfalls, one waterfall after another. In the old photos of Jiang's former residence, Jiang's father and son once went here to play and take pictures.

Now there is no need to climb the mountain to see the big waterfall. There is a small train in the mountain, which goes around the cliff and reaches the bottom of the waterfall.

The spectacular Qianzhangya Waterfall is right in front of you, and the gusts of wind blowing under the waterfall are extremely refreshing, relieving the scorching heat. Qianzhang Cliff is the most quintessential place in the scenic spot, and the waterfall is also spectacular and shocking.

Take the cable car to Miaokodai, from here, you can also see the beautiful Tingxia Lake in the mountains. Tingxia Lake is a water conservancy project in Xikou, and now it has become the beauty of this area.

Miaogao Terrace, you can also see Qianzhangya Waterfall from the viewing platform, isn’t it spectacular from another angle!

Ningbo Historic Old Street——Nantang Old Street

Nantang Old Street, one of the eight historical districts in Ningbo, once the gathering place of business and culture in Ningbo, Nantang Old Street, has been maintained and reappeared in our field of vision. Along a quiet small river, the old street stretches for several blocks. The combination of historical sites and modern commercial atmosphere is worthy of being one of the good places to taste old Ningbo.

Nantang Old Street is now divided into several phases, and the most lively one is the earliest phase. The model of the commercial street, the integration of old Ningbo food and culture, it is just right to understand Ningbo from here~

You can see a lot of Ningbo specialties on the old street, such as Ningbo glutinous rice balls, Ningbo glutinous rice balls are so glutinous, and the fillings follow the current fashion, and have developed from red bean paste to roses and durians, which are quite creative.

There are row upon row of old shops, and there are many choices. You can taste it in one shop, or try a few more. On the contrary, coming here, you can experience the fun of Ningbo cuisine.

Many shops have followed the tone of the old street and adopted a literary and artistic style. The careful setting has given literary and artistic youths countless reasons to linger.

Of course, craftsmen can’t miss the atmosphere of the old street. The essence lies in the works, which probably refers to their craftsmanship. Even we have to sigh in admiration when we see it. picture! Very similar!

Walk through the old street and visit slowly. There are really many relics in the old street. Don't patronize the shopping, often the relics are hidden in the streets. Such as the stage, such as the octagonal pavilion, such as the wind and rain corridor...

As a first-tier city, the rapid development will always erase a lot of memories. In places like Nantang Old Street, it is really rare for us to have the opportunity to read and feel the intact buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The lungs of the city, a collection of historic sites——Moon Lake Park

Located in the urban area of Ningbo, Yuehu Park, which covers a large area of greenery, can be called the lung of the city. Compared with the public's familiarity with this park, it is more important that the two large lake areas gather many historical sites, which are rare places to understand Ningbo's cultural history.
Moon Lake in Ningbo was formed in the Tang Dynasty. The wide part looks like a full moon, and the narrow part looks like a crescent moon, so it is called Moon Lake. The long time is also one of the reasons why there are so many monuments left here. When we went there, a part of Moon Lake happened to be under construction, so we also visited a small half of the lake.

The Shuize Monument of the Grand Canal is located in the corner of Yuehu Park. This is recorded in the Ningbo Museum. It is the earliest water conservancy project, and it is a way to judge whether there is a drought or flood in Ningbo.

The ancient buildings along the river are the former residence of Shi Shi in Baokui Lane and the former residence of Shi Hao. Traces of the life of the ancients can still be seen everywhere, but the venue has been converted into an exhibition hall and a tea room for tourists to taste tea.

The tranquility under the greenery gave me a different impression of Yuehu Park. It turns out that there are so many "babies" in Yuehu Park!

Bypassing the old house, you can really see the water of Moon Lake, and the island in front of you is Fangcao Island, the center island of Moon Lake in the north.
Fangcaozhou is one of the ten scenic spots of Moon Lake, and it can be called an exquisite small garden. The scenery in the park is reasonable in layout and finely crafted, including rockery, small pools, strange rocks, pavilions, pavilions and pavilions.

Fangcaozhou used to be the location of Ningbo's children's paradise, but now the pavilions and pavilions are elegant and give people a comfortable atmosphere.
There is a boating project in Yuehu Park, and you can freely circle Fangcao Island. Many duck boats row around in front of the island, which seems to remind people of the past of Fangcao Island.

Although it is a working day, there are not a few people who enjoy themselves by the lake during the day. Sitting by the lake in Yangliu Yiyi, sitting on the rocks, drinking tea and chatting, is really the most enjoyable aspect of Ningbo people.

On the other side of the lake is the Buddhist Lay Forest. I thought about going to the opposite side to see it, but because the project surrounded the only road, I didn't go there anymore, I could only look at it from a distance.

Near Yuehu Park is the most famous Drum Tower in Ningbo. The Drum Tower can be regarded as another business card of Ningbo, like a landmark.
Ningbo Drum Tower was first built in the Tang Dynasty. It was originally the south gate of the Tang and Song Zicheng. It has a history of more than 1,100 years. As for why Ningbo Drum Tower looks like a combination of Chinese and Western, the reason is that in the 19th year of the Republic of China, the Fire Fighting Federation built a cement and steel frame square observation tower and an alarm bell tower in the middle of the three-story wooden structure of the Drum Tower, and set up a standard clock. , which is convenient for citizens to time, and can also report fire alarms. In this way, Ningbo Drum Tower has become the most peculiar Drum Tower in China!
