DAY1: The Emperor's Road

temple of heaven

In ancient times, the emperor was called the son of heaven, which means the eldest son of the son of heaven, and the divine right is bestowed by heaven. The Temple of Heaven is a dedicated altar for the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties to worship the sky, pray for rain and pray for a good harvest. It is not difficult to understand the historical status of the Temple of Heaven.

The area of the altar is round in the north and square in the south, implying "the sky is round and the earth"; the number of stones used in the altar is related to "nine". The upper layer is 9 feet in diameter, the middle layer is 15 feet in diameter, and the lower layer is 21 feet in diameter. The sum of the three floors is 45 feet, which is not only a multiple of nine, but also means "the lord of the ninety-five".

There are 28 golden nanmu pillars in the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest (it may be the only time you have seen such a big golden nanmu). The 12 circles imply the twelve hours and the stars of the week, telling the unique solemnity of the royal family.

Route: South Gate of the Park → Circular Mound → Echo Wall → Kowloon Cypress → Danbi Bridge → Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests → Exit the west gate of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and go west → Shenyue Department → Zhai Palace → Exit the west gate.

Cross the road from the West Gate of the Temple of Heaven and walk south for 1 kilometer to Yongding Gate Park. Yongding Gate is the southernmost end of the central axis of the Forbidden City and an important pass into Beijing.

Many local citizens can be seen walking around and flying kites on the wide square. There are moats on both sides of the square, and there is Yandun in the south of the square. When the weather is fine, you can climb up to the front door.

At that time, you were the ordinary people who came to the capital from thousands of miles away to see you, walking on the central axis, letting your thoughts fly to hundreds of years ago, walking in a hurry, with awe in your heart.

Qianmen Street:

Go straight north along the central axis for 2 kilometers, and you will arrive at Qianmen Street. The street starts from Qianmen Moon Bay in the north, ends at Tianqiao intersection in the south, and connects with Tianqiao South Street.

Before the construction of the outer city in the 29th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1550), it was the royal road for the emperor to go out to the Temple of Heaven and the Altar of Mountains and Rivers. After the construction of the outer city, it became the main north-south streets of the outer city. People commonly call it Qianmen Street.

In the middle of the Ming Dynasty, due to the development of commerce, markets and streets such as Xianyukou, Zhu (Zhu) Shikou, Meishikou, and grain stores appeared on both sides of Qianmen Street, and Qianmen Street became a commercial street.

Looking at these down-to-earth names and closing your eyes, you seem to be able to see the bustling scene of Qianmen Street 500 years ago.

Dashilan:

There is a catchphrase in old Beijing that goes, "Go to the overpass to see things, and go to Dashilan to buy things." It can be seen that Dashilan was positioned in the past.

The existing key time-honored shops include Tongrentang, Zhang Yiyuan, Neiliansheng, Ruifuxiang, Buyingzhai, Daguanlou, Goubuli, and Zhang Xiaoquan. Checking in one by one is also very meaningful.

It's a pity that today's Dashilan is overcrowded. You might as well find a teahouse that can go up to the second floor, make a pot of clear tea, watch the bustling people downstairs, and relive the scenes diluted by time in the tea soup.

Fresh fish mouth:

Xianyukou Street became a market in the Zhengtong period of the Ming Dynasty, with a history of more than 570 years. It brings together Beijing's famous time-honored restaurants, retail stores, theaters, baths, teahouses and handicraft workshops.

Stores that must be visited include: Dazhong Theater, Zhengmingzhai Pastry Shop and Changchuntang Pharmacy, Tianxingju, Xinghuachi, Bianyifang, Duyiyi, Tianchengzhai Shoe Store, Lianyou Photo Studio, Black Monkey Department Store and Majuyuan hat shop.

And you can also find a deserted alley and touch those antique brick walls; or go into an old shop and eat a stewed stew and two burnt rings, and you will really taste the rich and thick taste of the capital.

Zhengyang Gate:

At the northern end of Qianmen Street (about 1 kilometer walk) is the Zhengyangmen Archery Tower, which is an ancient fortification, a brick fortress-style building, and stands on top of the brick city platform.

Among the archery towers on the Beijing city walls in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Zhengyangmen Archery Tower is the tallest and most majestic. The form is quite unique and has always been regarded as a symbol of old Beijing.

The archery tower of Zhengyangmen needs to go through 3 underground passages to get to Zhengyangmen. Among the 8 gates, Zhengyangmen tower is the tallest, and you can climb to the top to overlook the whole view of Chairman Mao Memorial Hall.

Chairman Mao Memorial Hall:

100 steps to the north of Zhengyang Gate is the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. The first floor of the hall has the North Hall, the Hall of Admiration, and the South Hall. On the second floor, there is a revolutionary performance memorial room and a movie hall, which are majestic, upright, solemn and solemn.

The base of the platform comes from the date red granite on the banks of the Dadu River, engraved with Evergreen, which symbolizes the eternal existence of the country, and surrounded by stones built into Mount Everest, which irrigate the seawater of the Taiwan Strait.

If you come to commemorate this great man, please remember to bring a bouquet of chrysanthemums and tell him: the mountains and rivers are still there, the country is peaceful and the people are safe; this prosperous age is as you wish.

Tiananmen Square:

It starts from Tiananmen in the north, Zhengyangmen in the south, the National Museum of China in the east, and the Great Hall of the People in the west. It is 880 meters long from north to south and 500 meters wide from east to west. It covers an area of 440,000 square meters and can accommodate 1 million people. It is the largest in the world. city square.

National Museum/Great Hall of the People:

The National Expo has a construction area of nearly 200,000 square meters, a collection of more than 1 million pieces, and 48 exhibition halls. It is the museum with the largest single building area in the world. Great Hall, 30 yuan for tickets. Generally, you can check in at Tiananmen Square.

Forbidden City:

It is the most complete and largest ancient wooden structure complex in the world. It was built under the order of Yongle Emperor Zhu Di. According to its layout and function, it is divided into two parts: "Outer Dynasty" and "Inner Court".

Taking Qianqing Gate as the boundary, the south of Qianqing Gate is the outer dynasty, and the north is the inner court.

The Outer Dynasty, also known as the "Former Dynasty", centered on the three halls of the Hall of Supreme Harmony (Jinluan Hall), the Hall of Central Harmony, and the Hall of Preserving Harmony, was the place where feudal emperors exercised their power and held grand ceremonies.

The inner court is centered on Qianqing Palace, Jiaotai Palace, and Kunning Palace, and the East Sixth Palace and West Sixth Palace on the east and west sides. It is the residence of feudal emperors and concubines, which is commonly known as "Three Palaces and Six Courtyards". .

TIPS: You can basically see the Forbidden City all day long, but it is a test for physical strength, wear soft-soled comfortable shoes, and bring dry food at the same time (it is not convenient to eat in the Forbidden City)

Turret:

The turrets are the four corners of the Forbidden City. They are composed of nine beams, eighteen columns and seventy-two ridges, a complex structure that carried the highest architectural skills at that time. After exiting the Forbidden City from Shenwu Gate, walk along the left hand side, and you will arrive at the turret in the northwest corner.

In the old days, the turret was used as a fortification, and it played the role of a lookout. The soldiers on the city wall climbed up and watched, patrolled and defended, and looked down on all living beings outside the palace; landscape.

DAY2: Landscape Avenue

Jingshan Park:

Except here, there is no other place where you can see the whole picture of the Forbidden City. What we are talking about here is the Wanchun Pavilion in Jingshan Park, which is 88.35 meters above sea level.

It only takes 20 minutes to climb the Wanchun Pavilion. Looking south, you can have a panoramic view of the Forbidden City; to the north is Di'anmen Street; to the east, you can see the core area of the CBD (the tallest building, China Zun), and to the west are Shichahai and the White Pagoda.

Jingshan Park is located in the north of the Forbidden City. It was the imperial garden of Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a royal garden with a history of more than 800 years. This is the highest place in the inner city of old Beijing.

At the same time, this is also the place where Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself. He took over a chaotic court. No matter how diligent he was, he still couldn’t restore the Ming Dynasty’s decadent situation. In the end, at the age of 33, he hanged himself on the crooked neck tree beside Zhoushang Pavilion. .

Jingshan Park is a popular place for rope skippers. Hundreds of people participate in this activity every day. People are dizzying.

Nanluoguxiang:

With a total length of 786 meters, it is one of the oldest blocks in Beijing. It is also the only chessboard-style traditional residential area in my country that completely preserves the Hutong courtyard structure of the Yuan Dynasty, the largest scale, the highest grade, and the richest resources.

Now it has been transformed into various small shops. Every city has such a pedestrian street, selling yogurt in porcelain bottles from all over the world, Internet celebrity drinks, etc., and the exquisite exhibits are placed in the large floor-to-ceiling glass windows. There will be a kind of Internet celebrity face. illusion.

If you really want to experience the style of the old Beijing Hutongs, it is actually not difficult, as long as you look for them in the alleys on both sides (commonly known as "centipede legs"), it seems that you have entered the "deep place of a hundred flowers" by mistake. The former residences of celebrities and historical buildings you encounter will definitely make your trip worthwhile.

Maoer Alley:

Maoer Hutong is one of the alleys of "Centipede Legs". It does not have the commercial atmosphere of Nanluoguxiang and Yandaixie Street, and it is different from the dilapidated Beiluoguxiang.

Many courtyard houses are uninhabited, and the gates are locked. Only the sign at the door tells you that its former owner, bathed in the sunlight through the shadow of the tree, seems to have passed away, with a trance-like expression.

The well-preserved courtyards in Maoer Hutong are: No. 5, No. 9 (Keyuan), No. 11 (Wenyu’s House), No. 13 (Feng Guozhang’s former residence), No. 21 (Zitong Temple Wenchang Palace site), No. 37 (Wanrong’s former residence) , No. 45 (Qing Admiral's Yamen, Republic of China Security Force Headquarters), etc.

Shichahai:

Shichahai is also called "Ten Chahai". It is named after the original ten Buddhist temples around it. In addition to the large and beautiful lake, many former residences of celebrities, palaces and other historical sites are also scattered in it.

"West Lake Spring, Qinhuai Summer, Dongting Autumn", this Shichahai, which is loved by thousands of people, is indeed a thriving in the inner city of Beijing. You can choose to come before sunrise if you want it to be closer.

The aunts who sing red songs are full of pride, the uncles who walk the birds are humming little songs, the ten-meter-long fishing rods on the white marble fence have been set up, the shrimp catchers are also wandering on the shore, and the people who run in the morning at the moment of sunrise There are more ducks on Wild Duck Island, flapping their wings and flying low against the water surface. The lotus pond and willow leaves are reflecting the morning light, and the satin-like water surface is cut by boats. The city has really woken up.

Prince Gong's Mansion:

This royal palace on the seaside of Shicha has experienced the historical process of the Qing Dynasty from prosperity to decline, carrying half of the history of the Qing Dynasty. At the same time, it is known as "the best landscape in the city" for its richness, and it is also famous for its mansion system comparable to the Forbidden City.

This used to be Heshen's old house. Due to Qianlong's protection umbrella and his son's marriage to Princess Hexiao, corruption intensified. After Jiaqing came to power, when Heshen's house was ransacked, only 900 million taels of silver were found. In the 25th year of the Qing Dynasty, the financial income.

There are also many TV dramas about that period of history. If you are interested in this period of history, Prince Gong’s Mansion must be a must-see. Under the high courtyard wall, you can listen to the old locust tree tell the secrets that have been deeply locked up.

Yandai Xiejie:

After seeing the lotus pond, bypassing the Yinding Bridge, you will arrive at Yandai Xiejie. As for its name, it is said that it was sold in the old days, and it is also said that it is shaped like a slanted cigarette bag. There are different opinions.

But these are not important. The total length of this short street is only more than 200 meters. There are some old diners who often come to eat Nanmen shabu-shabu, Yaoji fried liver, wonton hou, etc. This is also an essential experience.

Bell and Drum Tower:

Speaking of the Bell and Drum Tower, the first time I heard this name should be the song "Bell and Drum Tower" sung by He Yong at the Hong Kong Hung Hom concert in 1994.

On the stage lit by rock and roll, He Yong's father played the sanxian, and Dou Wei played the flute to accompany him. The opening MV showed He Yong standing on the ruins, and a bulldozer was tearing down a wall. At that time, China was at the moment of transition from old to new, and so was music.

The Drum Tower was built in the Ming Dynasty, and the Bell Tower was built in the Qing Dynasty. Although after several large-scale repairs, they still stand in the northeast of the city, maintaining that solemnity, and the "morning bells and evening drums" are also permanently recorded in the annals of history.

In the square of the Bell and Drum Tower, there are hundreds of shuttlecock kicking enthusiasts every day. They form a number of circles, their posture is vigorous, and the shuttlecock flies through like a shuttle. In my impression, only the capital retains this tradition, and it is also a must-see scenery for tourists.

Shichahai Bar Street/Gui Street+Shimao Tianjie

After browsing the Bell and Drum Tower, there are two options, you can go to the bar street in Shichahai to experience a different Shichahai;

Or go to Guijie Street to have a feast, and then go to Shimao Tianjie to confess your love to the one you love. No matter what you choose, this will be an unforgettable night.

DAY3: All the way to the north

Beiluoguxiang:

If Nanluoguxiang is a beautiful sister, then Beiluoguxiang is a simple and gentle sister. They are only separated by a street, there is no tide of people here, and Beiluo guards the tranquility of one side alone.

However, the good times that belonged to her are not lacking at all. Because some shop owners themselves are hermits, the small shops here also exude a mysterious flavor. There are cats who can't wake up when they are asleep, and shopkeepers who are lazy with their doors open.

Yes, just like the first batch of small shops in Dali and Lijiang ten years ago. Beiluo is also a centipede alley, and there are many branches, those hidden beauties, before they are loved by many people, go find them.

Wudaoying Hutong:

Wudaoying belongs to Chongjiaofang, formerly known as Wudeweiying. It is a street that existed after Ming Taizu Zhu Di established his capital in Beijing. It is said that this place was the military camp of the Ming Dynasty.

The rise of Wudaoying is due to the fact that it is next to the Confucian Temple Guozijian and Lama Temple, and the reputation of Confucius and Buddhism abroad has led to more foreigners here, which has created the petty bourgeoisie atmosphere of Wudaoying Hutong.

Its atmosphere is different from that of Luoguxiang and Houhai. Perhaps this is a little bit of exotic style. The persistent shopkeepers use their own personalities to form a special alley temperament.

Confucian Temple and Guozijian:

The Confucian Temple was the place where the emperor held the national ceremonies to worship Confucius. The Guozijian was the highest administrative institution and the highest institution of education in the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.

In addition to Qin Shihuang burning books and burying Confucianism, Chinese dynasties have always respected Confucianism. As the founder of Confucianism and a great thinker in Chinese history, Confucius has always been called a sage. The ancient emperors worshiped their ancestors. The reason is that yellow glazed tiles are the exclusive color of the royal family and can be used by Confucian temples.

Here, you can also see that, except for tour groups and foreigners, there are very few individual tourists. Here you can also think about whether we are walking too fast, so that we lose some things. Can the soul not keep up with itself?

Lama Temple:

Lama Temple is located in the northeast corner of the inner city of Dongcheng District, Beijing, that is, to the east of Lama Temple Street, a few hundred meters east of the gate of Guozijian. It is the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Beijing, formerly the residence of Prince Yong before he ascended the throne.

There is incense at the ticket gate. Even if you have no faith, try to participate in the worship of believers with the most pious heart. You may not have the opportunity to become a fish or a bird, but you can unload your burden and bathe yourself in a kind of Solemn and solemn.

Don't seek epiphany, just seek peace of mind; not better than anyone else, willing to spend an ordinary life in exchange for a lifetime of peace of mind.

Ditan Park:

To the north of Lama Temple, past the North Second Ring Road is the Ditan Park, which is the second largest altar among the five altars in Beijing. It is also the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties offered sacrifices to the "Emperor Earth God", and it is also the largest extant altar in my country. .

Compared with the Temple of Heaven, the Temple of Earth is square, which means "the sky is round and the place is round". The majesty of the altar in Ditan Park is no less than the Circular Mound of the Temple of Heaven. And Shi Tiesheng's "I and the Temple of Earth" adds to the mystery and cultural atmosphere here.

Ditan Park is a holy place for old Beijingers to take a walk. Some people are particularly keen on feeding pigeons, and this has become a holy place for pigeons. Therefore, it is not necessary to go to Prague to feed pigeons. Ditan Park is also a good choice.

Bird's Nest/Water Cube:

As the main venue of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, it needs no words for its grandeur, as everyone has seen it on TV. If you have enough time, you may wish to visit the interior. There is also a VIP package, which can be visited at the top of the bird's nest and experience the feeling of walking in the clouds.

The scenery along the central axis is majestic and majestic, and you can easily take a big picture. On the west side of the bird's nest, there is a dragon-shaped artificial water area, which can be reached by 200 meters east of Stadium South Road. The best shooting point is also here.

The bird's nest at night is a different scene, and the blessing of lights makes the building shine. If your arrival is just in time, that is the best thing.

DAY4: Dreaming in the garden

Tsinghua University and Peking University:

The moonlight in the lotus pond, the water, trees and Tsinghua; the side of the unnamed lake, next to the Boya Pagoda. For many people, these two highest universities carry the dreams in the hearts of many people. Some people's dreams have been realized, and some dreams have been broken; but when they come here, they will definitely relive the passionate youth of the year.

The gates that are commonly seen on the Internet are the West Gate of Tsinghua University and the West Gate of Peking University. They also represent the images of the two universities, telling people the stories of those century-old ups and downs, magnificent waves, or legends of the world.

Old Summer Palace:

Yuanmingyuan is located in the western suburbs of Beijing, adjacent to the Summer Palace. It consists of Yuanming, Changchun and Qichun gardens. It is a large royal palace created and operated by the emperors of the Qing Dynasty for more than 150 years.

In 1860, after the British and French allied forces looted all the gold, silver and jewels in the Old Summer Palace, they burned the main buildings to ashes. Today, tourists can only pay homage to the wreckage, looking for the glory of the empire; .

There are many small scenic spots in Yichun Garden, which is a large collection of small waterscape gardens. Today, it is the main site of the annual lotus festival in Yuanmingyuan.

The Changchun Garden is dominated by large-scale waterscapes. The well-known "Great Water Method", which is the earliest building seen in textbooks, is in the ruins of the Western Building in Yuanzhong, Changchun.

The Old Summer Palace is the largest area among the three gardens, consisting of Fuhai Scenic Area, Northwest Scenic Area, and Kyushu Scenic Area. In the center of the Three Gardens of Yuanming, there is the largest lake in the Yuanmingyuan—Fuhai, also known as East Lake. The entire lake area, with lakes and mountains, is as beautiful as a fairyland.

It is not an easy task to walk through the Trinity Park in its entirety. The scenery here is not much inferior to the Summer Palace. Even in some scenic spots except the Western Building, the inaccessible scene will make you feel like a world away. Although the jewels of the past have faded, the rippling blue waves and silky weeping willows are still there. This is what it used to be. "The Garden of Ten Thousand Gardens".

And that period of humiliating history has added a lot of mystery to this place. Before the Dashuifa, in front of the firewood in the museum, at the place where the heads of the twelve zodiac animals were originally placed in the Haiyan Hall, I lamented the moment when the prosperous age was finally dusty, and I was also grateful for the increasingly powerful motherland and the luck of being born in a peaceful age .

Summer Palace:

Based on Kunming Lake and Wanshou Mountain, based on Hangzhou West Lake, it is a large-scale landscape garden built by drawing on the design techniques of Jiangnan gardens. It is also the most complete preserved royal palace and royal garden, known as the "Royal Garden Museum".

The Summer Palace was built by Qianlong to celebrate the birthday of his mother (Empress Xiaoshengxian, Emperor Shizong of Qing Dynasty), at a cost of 4 million taels of silver. Walking in the trails of the Summer Palace, you will feel that although Kunming Lake occupies more than half of the area of the park, the entire scenic spot is still very large. This is a test of foot strength.

In "The Three of Us", Mr. Yang Jiang described Mr. Qian Zhongshu as saying that he was too quiet and only wanted to spend all his time in the library. Yang Jiang took him for a walk in the Summer Palace, so the Summer Palace can be regarded as a witness of the love between the two, and it can be regarded as a veil of literature and art.

Because the site here is large enough, tourists don’t seem so crowded. You can see the Seventeen-Arch Bridge under the afterglow of the setting sun, the Buddha Fragrance Pavilion, the willows fluttering in the wind on both sides of the West Causeway, and the Garden of Harmonious Interests. The lotus in the garden, as well as those ancient pavilions, the beauty of this good day will definitely remain in your memory deeply.

DAY5: Xiongguan Mandao

Jinshanling Great Wall:

Jinshanling Great Wall is located in Luanping County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, adjacent to Miyun District, Beijing City, and 130 kilometers away from downtown Beijing.

Compared with the majesty and vigor of the Badaling Great Wall and the steepness and glamor of the Simatai Great Wall, the Jinshanling Great Wall is more desolate and majestic.

Compared with the majesty and vigor of the Badaling Great Wall and the steepness and glamor of the Simatai Great Wall, the Jinshanling Great Wall is more desolate and majestic.

The towering long steps, the dilapidated beacon towers, and the incomplete city walls; like splash-ink landscape paintings, and impenetrable shields and armors, surrounded me. A big country protects the common people.

It will be the top of the mountain, and you can see the small mountains at a glance. This is the feeling during the day; after nightfall, the Jinshanling is even more bright and bright, with a little bit of starlight. The city's light sources are avoided here, so midnight is the peak time for star photographers.

It is recommended to charter a car and drive: Jinshanling Great Wall is 90 kilometers away from Chengde urban area. After leaving Chengde, take the G45 Daguang Expressway, exit at the Xiabakeshiying/Pianqiao exit, go to National Highway 101, and walk straight ahead to reach it.

Shuttle bus: 1. Beijing Dongzhimen Bus Station opens the Jinshanling Great Wall tourist bus from April to November every year. The departure time is Saturday, Sunday, and other statutory holidays at 8:00 every day, and returns from Jinshanling Great Wall at 15:00 in the afternoon. The one-way drive takes about 2 hours. The ticket price is 120 yuan, including round-trip fare, scenic spot tickets and one-way cableway ticket. (For ordinary tourists, walk 7-8 floors, and then go down the mountain from the cableway.)

2. Take a bus from downtown Beijing to Miyun County (multiple shifts), take Mi 51 at Miyun Bus Station and get off at Simatai Village (Gubei Water Town) Station (about 12 yuan), and take a taxi here to the scenic spot. About 50 yuan/car. (Suitable for tourists on a 2-day tour, staying in a farmhouse at the foot of the Great Wall)

postscript:

To say goodbye and thank you for reading to the end. Due to space constraints, there is no way to share a large number of photos with you.

If you want to see other strategies I will do in the future, you can add my friends in Mafengwo. At the same time, my Weibo is: Wu Renz, and my WeChat is: 191898535; Finally, I wish you a perfect holiday.
