Preparations before departure:

Before arriving in the capital, you need to make preparations and homework, and make all the reservations:

1. Try to choose a hotel near the subway station in the downtown area, which is relatively close to Tiananmen Square. It is recommended to be near Chongwenmen or Xuanwumen. The transportation is convenient, the dining is convenient, and the price is moderate. It is not recommended to be near the front door, because there are many people, the price is high, and there are too many people; there is another place I recommend, that is, near Jiaodaokou and Beixinqiao, which belongs to Dongcheng District, and is adjacent to Nanluoguxiang Houhai Bell and Drum Tower in the west. To the east is Lama Temple, Guozijian, Confucius Temple and Guijie Street. It is worth mentioning that there are many hutongs in this place. If you like to live in an old Beijing courtyard house, you can search for a good one to live in.

2. Attraction reservations, the scenic spots that need to be reserved, the first is the huge Forbidden City of the Forbidden City, it is best to make a reservation in advance if you need a real-name reservation, other scenic spots do not need to make a reservation. The second type of museum is a trip to Beijing. How can you not visit the museum? You can make an appointment on the official website of each museum. The museums I personally recommend are: National Museum (must check in), Natural History Museum (those who like animal and plant specimens, big Dinosaur specimens, there is also a small aquarium), military museum (friends who like military) and capital museum (you can deepen your understanding of the city of Beijing).

3. Book a one-day trip to Beijing from the bottom of my heart. Beijing’s transportation is convenient. Only the Great Wall and Ming Tombs are in the suburbs. You need a one-day tour of the Great Wall to avoid pitfalls. There are many flashy routes, especially if everything is included for tens of dollars. The route is indeed risky, and you still need to be more careful when choosing.

Planned itinerary:

Day 1 itinerary: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Natural History Museum.
Day 2 itinerary: Mutianyu Great Wall, Olympic Park (Bird's Nest and Water Cube).
Day 3 itinerary: Summer Palace, Tsinghua University, Peking University.

The first day of Beijing city tour:

After breakfast at the hotel, arrive at Qianmen Subway Station at around 8:00 a.m., take a look at Tiananmen Square, the current heart of the motherland, pay homage to the Monument to the People’s Heroes, the Memorial Hall, and the Tiananmen Gate Tower, showing the solemnity and solemnity of the capital. Feel:

Cross the underground passage from Tiananmen Square, and you can reach the Meridian Gate through the end gate. Tickets have been booked in advance (adults 60
), you don’t need to change the ticket, you can enter directly by swiping your ID card, and witness the place where the next Huang Ama works. Before coming here, I also did a special science research: Ming and Qing Dynasties, the palaces of 24 emperors, it is said that the emperor believed that there were 10,000 palaces of the Jade Emperor in the sky, to show modesty, and the palace of the emperor on the ground was built 9,900 Ninety-nine and a half rooms, it took 14 years for the skilled craftsmen from all over the country to build this palace, which is too big.

It is really beautiful and magnificent.
Going all the way to the north is the Hall of Zhonghe and the Hall of Preserving Harmony. Here comes the important point: Don’t go all the way north after passing the Hall of Preserving Harmony. Follow the signs and turn eastward to go to the Treasure Hall. Why go to the Treasure Hall? Because there are not only treasures in the Treasure Hall, but also air-conditioning, so if you take your baby out to play, to be honest, you have to find a cool place even if you are interested. You can also see all kinds of rare treasures here, but it's a pity that they can be seen from a distance but not played with. None of the treasures belong to us, hahaha. Walking out of the Treasure Hall, you are very close to the exit of the Forbidden City - "Shenwumen", and the whole journey takes about 3 and a half hours.

Even in the big Beijing, it is really difficult to take a taxi. I sincerely recommend choosing a mobile phone to call Didi. Remember that the entrance of the Forbidden City is at the Shenwu Gate. If you cannot park, you can walk 100 meters to the east. It is located at the east gate of Jingshan Park. Parking is available at this place.

After getting on the bus, go straight to the Museum of Natural History. It is located at the west gate of the Temple of Heaven Park. There are many restaurants in this place. Find one that looks good and you like it. Fill your stomach first.

The children are still very interested in this place. In fact, we also like it very much. Many of them are the first time to see them. They play for a long time. There are many animal specimens, as well as the origin of human beings, as well as super large dinosaurs and oceans. museum. It takes 2 hours. Tickets are free, but you need to make an appointment on the official website in advance.

After the museum comes out, it is very close to the west gate of the Temple of Heaven Park, but it is not recommended to enter the Temple of Heaven Park from here, because it is too far away from the places that can be visited, you can choose a bus or a taxi (also Didi, taxis can’t afford to wait) ) to the South Gate of the Temple of Heaven, it is better to enter from here, saving energy while not missing the beautiful buildings. The green trees and vegetation in the garden are particularly rich, and there are many old trees, but we did not find the "Xiaoping tree" planted by Grandpa Deng. Maybe we have seen it, but we don't know which one it is.

Tickets can be purchased next to the entrance, and you can also directly scan the code to purchase. There is a signboard with a QR code purchase next to the ticket gate, which is very convenient. The combined ticket is 34 adults. It is suitable to buy a combined ticket, but the big ticket for the scenic spot can't see anything. The first thing to see is the Circular Mound Altar, and then the Echo Wall. You can't hear anything. There are too many people. Go through the long road Danbi Bridge is the main building, the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. After the visit, go out from the east gate of the Temple of Heaven, and the subway station is right outside the gate. This time, you don’t need to use Didi, and you can go back to the hotel to rest. It will take 2 hours.

Day 2: Beijing Great Wall Tour

Because the Great Wall is far away, it is not suitable for public transportation or taking a taxi (taxi is quite expensive). I saw a lot of one-day tours of the Great Wall when I was doing my homework. The first question is to go to Badaling or Mutianyu Great Wall? In the end, I chose Mutianyu. The scenery is basically the same, and there are cable cars. If you bring children, don’t think about hiking. It’s not realistic. The most important thing is that there are few people in Mutianyu.

There are many options for a one-day tour, which can be found directly on Ctrip. In the end, I chose the Mutianyu Great Wall through train starting from Dongsishitiao subway station. The round trip is 80 yuan per person, half price for children, and free for babies. Arrive at the Dongsishitiao subway station before 8:00 in the morning. The train departs between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. and exits at Exit C of the Dongsishitiao subway station (it is Exit C, we have exited to Exit A and circled around) , At the entrance of the Swiss apartment, there are many staff members wearing red vests there to greet them, each person has a seat, and it takes less than an hour and a half to arrive at the Mutianyu Great Wall. All tickets for the cable car can be purchased on the bus. There is also a car tour guide who explains history and small stories along the way, and the atmosphere is very good. There is no shopping and additional tourist attractions, and the shuttle bus fee is free, saving 15 yuan. Tickets are not expensive. Adults are 40. When we arrive, the guide will tell us how to go, how to get back to the meeting point and the time of the meeting point. I like this kind of free travel, don’t care about other people, and play differently, haha. They have their own lounge on the Great Wall. The upper and lower floors are quite large. You can rest. There are free hot water and tea, as well as simple meals. The second floor has a self-service, which is not expensive at 60 per person. The taste is good and the price is affordable. Inside the scenic area Conscience merchants! The return journey starts at 2:00 p.m. and there are buses until 3:00 p.m., and the bus will leave when it is full. We got on the bus at 2:20 p.m. and arrived in the city at 3:40 p.m., very fast!

If you don't reach the Great Wall, you are not a hero! When I arrived at the Great Wall, I was sweating all over! We chose to take the cable car directly to Beacon Tower No. 14 and then climb in the direction of Beacon Tower No. 20. It is so beautiful, and there are no people, it is very comfortable.

After returning to the city, take Metro Line 2 to Gulou Street Station, transfer to Line 8, and get off at the Olympic Sports Center Station. You will see the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube. I didn’t plan to go in and visit it. I feel that the night view here is more shocking and beautiful. , it is worth mentioning that there is a Pangu Seven Star Hotel here, which is also very beautiful at night. Make a card and take a few photos, then return to the hotel to rest.

Because we didn’t plan to go to the Ming Tombs with our children. After all, it is a mausoleum, so we only chose the Great Wall. Mutianyu is still worth climbing. If you don’t go to the Ming Tombs, you have plenty of time. The Great Wall, Mutianyu and Duxiu really deserve their reputation!

Day 3: Visit in Beijing

If you don’t like getting up early, take the subway line 4 to Xiyuan Station at 8:00 in the morning. After you come out, walk for about 10 minutes to the East Palace Gate of the Summer Palace. This is also the main entrance of the Summer Palace. It is similar to Tiantan Park. Buy tickets or scan the code to buy tickets directly Just enter the park. The price is cheap, 30 yuan for adults. After entering the garden is the Hall of Renshou, and then on the right hand side is the Yannian Well. It is said that the Empress Dowager Lafayette only drank the water in this well. Next to it is Dehe Garden, the place where Lafayette used to listen to operas. It feels good. Although there is an additional visit fee of 5 yuan, the architecture of this theater building is very beautiful, and you can still see the chimes. After coming out, walk along the Yannian Well and then go in to a small courtyard. I don’t remember the name. It is said that it used to be the place where Li Lianying, the little plum, lived. Going forward is the Le Shoutang, Lafayette’s bedroom. After passing through the Le Shoutang, you will arrive at the long corridor. There are many pictures in it, basically corresponding to a historical story. You will pass by the Buddha Fragrance Pavilion in the middle, if you are physically strong. It is recommended to go up to see it is very beautiful. Walking to the other end is Shifang, also called Qingyanfang to take a photo and then go to take a boat across Kunming Lake to Tongniu, which is Nanhu Island and 17 Kongqian. The scenery on the lake is also very beautiful, and then go out from the Xinjian Palace Gate for the whole journey About 3 and a half hours.

After coming out of the Xinjian Palace Gate, take a Didi taxi back to Xiyuan Subway Station. There are many restaurants there, you can choose by yourself. After eating, you can take the subway two stops to Peking University East Gate Station. Wait in line to enter the school. Tickets are free But it is also necessary to make an appointment in advance, and it is best to make an appointment about 10 days before departure, because there are many people who make an appointment and sometimes it is not open. After visiting Peking University, it is opposite Tsinghua University. The same ticket is free, but you need to make an appointment for about 4 hours before returning to the subway. Peking University East Gate Station, you can return to the hotel to rest.

Warm reminder: Tsinghua University and Peking University will have requirements for the admission time of visitors, so pay attention to the time and plan in advance.

Notes on the itinerary:

1. It is better to prepare some cash, some scenic spots do not support WeChat or Alipay payment.
2. If the child can apply for an ID card, it is best to apply for one. If not, copy the account page

Yes, many places need to use it, especially the places that need to make an appointment.
3. Don't trust small vendors who sell things. There are regular shops or places to take taxis near every scenic spot.
4. If you don’t have Didi software and “Delicious No Waiting” software, try to download them on your mobile phone in advance to save queuing.
5. Traveling is risky, so you need to be cautious in choosing, and avoid being greedy for petty gains and suffering big losses.

Regional Cuisine:

Here are a few recommended restaurants that you can choose according to your own taste preferences:

1. When you come to Beijing, you must have a meal of roast duck, and bring home the spirit of "climbing the Great Wall and eating roast duck tourism". (Learned from the tour guide) The roast duck is the first to recommend Siji Minfu, the roast duck is delicious and the service is very good. The second one recommends Dadong Roast Duck, which is very good except that the price is not good and the price is too expensive. The third one recommends the 1949 whole duck season. For the time-honored Quanjude, I just hehe.

2 Beijing hot pot The first Niujie Jubaoyuan hot pot restaurant; the second Beijing Nanmen hot pot restaurant, which is better than Donglaishun.

3 Other restaurants Old Beijing Zhajiang Noodle King is located near Chongwenmen of the subway, and Didi Taxi is located at No. 56, East Xinglong Street. The old Beijing fried noodles that Nicholas Tse visited unannounced is at No. 69 Fangzhuanchang Hutong, next to Nanluoguxiang and the Central Academy of Drama. Those who are not afraid of queuing can try it.
Yaoji Fried Liver is next to the Drum Tower and Guijie Street. There are also many snacks in Niujie Street, a street for Muslims. You can try it yourself.

That's all, hope it helps, have fun. Remember to help like and favorite!
