At the beginning of June 2016, I saw a travel note about the lavender in Ili, Xinjiang. I booked the ticket immediately and went to Xinjiang two weeks later.
Suzhou→Shanghai→Urumqi→Yining→Salimu Lake→Yining→Tekes County→Zhaosu→Yining→Urumqi→Shanghai→Suzhou
DAY1 Suzhou→Shanghai→Urumqi
Day2 one-day sightseeing in Urumqi
The day I stayed in Urumqi was originally planned to go to the Museum of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region, but I didn't know that it was closed on Monday when I arrived at the entrance of the museum. So I went shopping in Urumqi.
Day3 Urumqi → Yining
Yining: At first I thought Yili was a city, but later I found out that its name on the Chinese map is Yining
Arriving in Yining in the evening, I stayed in a youth hostel with a yard for the first time. The youth hostel is in the old city, and the houses in the old city are colorful. The youth hostel I live in has a pink exterior.
Day4: To look for lavender (I heard that a traveler took a large piece of lavender at Yining Airport, and then went to look for lavender with the other three friends of the youth hostel the next day)
Day5: Yining → Sailimu Lake
Go to Sailimu Lake with friends from the youth hostel
We stayed in a hotel by the lake, in a mixed room for seven people (the toilet is more than ten meters away from the room)
Day6: Sailimu Lake → Yining
Half-day sightseeing around Sailimu Lake
Day7: Yining (days to hang out in Yining)
Another thing, Yujie's train is leaving tonight (I remember the night before Yujie left, I was drinking Wusu with Yujie in the courtyard of the youth hostel and chatting with the moonlight)
Day8: Yining → Tekes County
Day9: Kalajun Grassland → Qiongkushitai Village
Day10: Qiongkushitai Village → Tekes County → Zhaosu
Day11: Zhaosu → Yining
Sightseeing in Zhaosu for a day, then take a bus back to Yining in the evening
Day12: Yining (I asked Xianliang to take a group of photos before leaving Yining, the skirt was bought by Huanhuan in Kashgar)
Day13: Yining → Urumqi (train)
Day14 Urumqi→Shanghai→Suzhou
